Moisture barrier bags are used to pack IC trays, tubes, and reels of components. The bags are made
from a five-layer metalised polyester/polyethylene structure that offers high puncture resistance,
high barrier properties and superior vacuum packing performance. The low MVTR of the material
results in a reduced desiccant requirement and offers a very good cost/performance relationship for
packing moisture sensitive components. Moisture barrier bags meet or exceed the requirements of
MIL-B-81705C, EIA 583.
