Free-burning OSRAM DULUX
although according to the IEC the reference burning position for OSRAM DULUX
and OSRAM DULUX
the measurements are easier to take and the results are more reliable since the mer-
cury remains at the cold spot at the bottom even when the lamp is moved.
With lamps in the horizontal burning position, the mercury shifts as soon as the lamp is
moved, which destabilises the lamp.
The difference in luminous flux between the base-up and horizontal operating positi-
ons at constant lamp output for OSRAM DULUX
than 1 to 2 %. Deviations of 10 to 20 % can be expected for OSRAM DULUX
and T/E IN lamps between base up and horizontal operating position.
Burnt-in and stabilised OSRAM DULUX
at constant ambient temperature and in an unchanged operating position. Fluctuations
are less than 1 % of the upper range value.
All the cables, control gear and instruments must be arranged, and if necessary shiel-
ded, so that there is no chance of interference from external fields. Use instruments
which will supply the level of accuracy required in the measured values.
Recommendations:
Instruments:
Lamp supply:
The luminous flux and hence the luminous efficacy of OSRAM DULUX
depends on the temperature. To achieve optimum operating conditions for the lamp in
the luminaire, it is therefore essential to know either the ambient temperature in the
vicinity of the lamp or the cold spot temperature directly on the lamp.
