Setting the Reference in Smart Remote Mode

Turn on the tester and remote and let them warm up
for 5 minutes.
On the main tester: set the following on Loss/Length
tab in Setup:

For an OptiFiber smart remote: set the following on
Loss/Length tab in Setup:

Clean the tester's and source's OUTPUT connectors and
the reference test cord connectors.
On the main tester: press
Length Reference.
Make the connections shown on the SET REFERENCE
screen and in Figure 7-6; then press
Set REMOTE END SETUP to Smart Remote.
Set THIS UNIT to Main.
Set REMOTE END SETUP to Smart Remote.
Set THIS UNIT to Remote.
