The Klaxalarm is a standalone, self-contained

fire alarm designed for use in small retail, industrial

or temporary buildings as well as construction

sites, campsites or marquees. In addition, it can

be used as a temporary alarm when the main fire

alarm system is under maintenance.

Klaxalarm is available as a battery-only unit or as

a mains unit with battery back-up and a choice of

electronic sounder (Terrier) or bell (Bulldog) as

the warning device.

The battery-powered versions can be interlinked

to each other to provide additional coverage so

that when one callpoint is activated, all the other

units sound. Fitted with a PP9 battery, these

units will operate in standby mode for over 12

months and an audible warning is emitted when

the battery power level becomes low.

The mains-powered units conform to the require-

ments of BS 5839 Part 1 (Manual Fire Alarms)

and may be expanded using additional call points

and sounders using a two core cable loop.

The Klaxalarm range is designed for ease of

installation and is a simple low cost solution for

many premises that require fire alarms under the

Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations 1997

(as amended) 1999.
