Encoder Orientation
The AEDR-8300-1Wx is designed such that both the LED and detector IC should be placed parallel to the window/
bar orientation, as shown. As such, the encoder is tolerant against radial play of ± 0.38mm. The emitter side (pins
3 and 4) should be placed closer to the rotating shaft.
