Subject : Material change on the case in the TP – Pushbuttons // T- Toggles and
Rockers // TS – Slides from thermo set and red 6/6 nylon to natural 4/6 nylon
To Whom It May Concern :
This notification is being provided to C&K customers and distributors who receive the
following series from C&K:
TP – Pushbuttons // T - Toggles and Rockers // TS – Slides
Reason for Change : Standardizing 4/6 Nylon on sub-mini series, 4/6 nylon has a
more robust temperature range for processing.
Effect on Product:
There will be no effect on the form, fit, or function of these switches. C&K has been
using red 6/6 nylon and thermo set in these series for many years. C&K will now be
using a natural (white) 4/6 nylon that has a higher temperature rating. This is the same
material that is currently being used on the SMT versions of the EP and ET.
Product Delivery During Transition:
Manufacturing sites are working through existing inventory of the thermo set and red 6/6
nylon. Once this existing inventory is consumed, the transition to 4/6 nylon will be
made. Some of these series have already started to transition, others will be completed
over the next 2-3 months.
