Removal of Lead from the Plated Contacts of Connectors

All the connectors as per the list are currently offered with Tin-lead plating on the contact

termination which for future supplies would be changed to Pure-Tin (Matt Finish). The plating

thickness of Pure-Tin (Matt Finish) would be optimised to meet the standard performance

requirements of IEC 603-2 specification for these connectors. This change from Tin-Lead

Plating to Pure Tin plating of contact termination would not have any impact in the fit, form and

function of the connector and also their would not be any change in the part number of the

connector

It important to note that housing material for these connectors has not been changed and

customers need to take all precautions to protect the housings with required protection devices

so that the housing would withstand the higher temperature applicable for Lead free wave

soldering.
