The VN920D-B5 and VN920DSO are monolithic
devices designed in STMicroelectronics VIPower
M0-3 technology. The VN920D-B5 and
VN920DSO are intended for driving any type of
load with one side connected to ground. The
active V
against low energy spikes (see ISO7637 transient
compatibility table).
Active current limitation combined with thermal
shutdown and automatic restart protects the
devices against overload. The devices detect the
open load condition in both the on and off-state. In
the off-state the devices detect if the output is
shorted to V
in the case where the ground pin becomes
disconnected.
