Cable and Faceplate Assembly

A time and cost saving cable assembly and faceplate, predominantly for installing interactive

whiteboards, but also suitable for large screens and other PC based multimedia systems.

Ì Faceplate and sockets with cables terminating in plugs (see table below)

Ì Connects interactive whiteboard, projector, PC and speakers

Ì PC or Laptop connects directly to the faceplate

Ì Brushed steel faceplate mounts on a standard 2 Gang electrical back box (surface box

KEY to diagram:

Green Box: Faceplate. All the leads from the projector, speakers and the interactive

Whiteboard are terminated here for easy connection to a PC. See faceplate schematic for

connection details.

Blue Dotted Line: The speakers are terminated at the faceplate. The cable is typically run

behind the board and then through the trunking to the faceplate.

Orange Dotted Line: The whiteboard is connected to the faceplate either by USB or serial

interface. This is routed through the trunking to the faceplate.

Pink Dotted Line: The desktop PC or Laptop can be connected directly to the faceplate.

Green Dotted Line: All connections from the projector are extended to the faceplate. All cables

are protected by mini trunking.
